She is an architect by profession and has been working in various social activities. She represented Hetauda in Miss Nepal 2018 and first Miss Nepal from Hetauda.

Manita Devkota is Miss Universe Nepal 2018. She represented Nepal in Miss Universe 2018 and placed within the Top 10 in the Miss Universe pageant. She became the first Miss Nepal to enter the Semi-Final Spot in the Miss Universe. A Miss Universe pageant was held at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi Province, a northern suburb of Bangkok, Thailand.
